A 35-year-old man was fatally shot at a North Side gas station in San Antonio, as per police reports. The tragic incident occurred around 8 p.m. Tuesday at a 7-Eleven located in the 4100 block of Vance Jackson Road. In a report by KSAT, authorities found the man, who would later succumb to his wounds, with multiple gunshot injuries in front of the convenience store.
According to witness accounts from the scene, after exiting a black Toyota truck at the gas pump, the man was targeted and shots were fired at him from the vehicle. It was in front of the store where the police discovered him, while the suspect's truck was seen fleeing the location, as was detailed in the FOX San Antonio coverage.
Following the shooting, witnesses reported that the victim had emerged from the passenger side of the vehicle, and was walking toward the store entrance, apparently in an attempt to get help. The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that they are still investigating the circumstances that led to the man's death and are on the lookout for both the vehicle and the perpetrator.
"Witnesses informed the officers that the 35-year-old man had exited a black Toyota truck parked at a gas pump," said the SAPD in a statement obtained by KSAT. The truck then fled from the location, and the man, seeking help, had been walking toward the gas station entrance after the shooting. Witnesses had heard several gunshots come from the vehicle parked at the gas pumps, FOX San Antonio reported.
