A tragic incident occurred on Monday night when a man was struck by a vehicle and fatally injured in Denton, according to local authorities. The collision happened in the 1100 block of E. University Drive near Ruddell Street around 6:21 pm, as reported by the DFW Scanner.
Emergency responders from the Denton Fire Department and the Police Department were called to the scene. The man was subsequently transported to a local hospital by Denton EMS, where he was pronounced deceased. Furthermore, it was determined by a preliminary investigation that the man was not utilizing a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
