A man was found dead in the Katy area in a suspected dog attack, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. Deputies responded to a call on Porter Road near the Mason Creek Hike and Bike Trail, where "Preliminary: an adult male was found dead, reportedly mauled by dogs," Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said, according to KHOU.
Crime scene investigators and detectives have been sent to the location to determine the circumstances of the incident. Officials are still investigating whether the fatality was solely due to the dog attack or if other factors were involved.
