It seems the sleigh bells were jingling a bit louder this year for the Manatee County Public Safety Department, as their Beach Patrol unit received a notable accolade just before the holidays. In a post from their official Facebook page, the department announced that their Beach Patrol has been awarded the 2025 Beach Patrol of the Year by the Florida Beach Patrol Chiefs Association (FBPCA). According to the social media post, this honor serves as a "testament to the teamwork, training, and vigilance that make our team stand out statewide."
This recognition, bestowed by an organization committed to promoting shoreline safety and lifesaving techniques across Florida, puts a spotlight on the Manatee County team. "We couldn’t be prouder of the team that keeps our beaches safe every day," reads the post, underscoring the department's appreciation for their staff's diligent work.
