As the winter warm front rolls in, snowmen are sadly out, but it seems that dog paddles are definitely in. The Mansfield Texas Parks & Recreation department has announced the completion of a new swimming hole at Mans Best Field Dog Park—a timely gift for those with four-legged friends eager to splash around. The social media post from the department makes clear: "The new swimming hole at Mans Best Field Dog Park is officially complete and open for play!"
The park's latest upgrade integrates a trail connection from the front of the park, along with a washing station to clean off dirty paws, and a rentable pavilion. Additional seating and string lighting have also been added to illuminate the four main paddocks. It's a full-service approach to doggy play dates, but keep the leash handy: all other park rules remain in effect.
Whether you're the owner of a Great Dane or a Chihuahua, the pond paddock is open to dogs of all sizes—though just for the dogs, the humans will have to sit this one out. The Mansfield Texas Parks & Recreation's message reminds us all to "play nicely and at your own risk," an age-old rule of thumb for both two and four-legged park-goers.
For all those concerned with post-play cleanup, the washing station is a strategic touch to keep cars and homes mud-free. It's a canine's paradise, and from the look of things, dog owners will be just as thrilled with the newest addition. As Mansfield Texas Parks & Recreation posted, “We can’t wait to see you and your best friend enjoying this doggone remarkable new play area!”
