A fierce blaze erupted at a residence in Fox Chapel this morning, drawing multiple emergency response teams to the scene. According to WPXI, the fire department was dispatched to the 600 block of West Waldheim Road around 5 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
Initial reports from dispatchers indicated that there were no injuries. However, the extensive nature of the fire has kept firefighters, police, and paramedics heavily engaged in containment efforts. Neighbors informed reporters from WTAE that the house was under renovation and appears to have been unoccupied when the fire broke out.
