The Matthews Police Department has issued a traffic alert, advising drivers to treat the intersection as a four-way stop until further notice. "The traffic signal on Hwy. 51 at the entrance to the Sycamore Commons Shopping Center is without power," their social media post stated early this morning.
Avoidance of the area is recommended for those who can alter their route. "Duke Energy is enroute to make repairs," the Matthews Police Department noted.
