Maui County offices and services will be closed on January 1, 2026, for New Year’s Day, the County of Maui announced. Residents should plan accordingly.
Closures include all County of Maui offices, county pools, the Lahaina Resource Center, the Recovery Permit Center, and the Hāna, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi landfills, as well as the Olowalu Recycling & Refuse Convenience Center. The Central Maui Landfill and Maui EKO Compost will remain open from 6 a.m. to noon.
Residential trash pickup and the Maui Bus will operate on their regular schedules. County services will resume normal operations on Friday, Jan. 2.
The County of Maui reminds residents to plan for holiday schedule changes. Normal county services will resume after the New Year.
