The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for two individuals implicated in a robbery that occurred in the Northwest. This incident, which unfolded in the early hours of November 16, has prompted authorities to seek assistance from the public to track down the suspects responsible.
The encounter took place at approximately 1:28 a.m., as the victim navigated the 1400 block of North Capitol Street, when suddenly, they were confronted by two suspects. Following a brief altercation, wherein the victim was forced to the ground, their personal belongings were swiftly taken by the aggressors who then made their escape. The victim, fortunately, incurred only minor injuries as a result of the incident, the police reported.
In a bid to apprehend these culprits, surveillance cameras in the vicinity succeeded in capturing one of the suspects on film. Law enforcement officials have released the image and video in hopes that someone might recognize the suspect and come forward with information.
The Metropolitan Police Department has announced a reward of up to $1,000, to anyone who can provide intel leading to the arrest and indictment of those involved in the crime.
