
Police are searching for a suspect following a shooting on the 2000 block of 14th Street NW. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that on December 7, around 5:45 a.m., the victim was shot following an apparent physical altercation.
The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was treated at a local hospital. The suspect fled the scene and has not been apprehended. Authorities are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect or providing information about the shooting. Officials reported that the suspect brandished a handgun, shot the victim, and fled the scene, and they are seeking tips from witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the suspect.
The MPD is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect, provided the tip meets the requirements for a violent crime case in D.C.
