Milton's residents are eagerly awaiting the completion of the City Park and Preserve's transformation, an endeavor that has been underway for several months now. The project promises to enhance the 137-acre greenspace in the heart of the community by the end of January 2026, bringing with it a more natural and accessible environment. According to a recent update from the city, the project has been delayed slightly, with crews working on Phase II and III areas first before doubling back to the already familiar Phase I section near the parking lot and Community Center.

Although Milton's public has had to patiently look on as the familiar trails closed in mid-November, the city explains that this precaution is to safely manage the increased presence of heavy equipment and activity within the park. "Numerous trees, shrubs, grasses, perennials, and wildflowers have gone into the ground, many of them along or visible from the soon-to-be extended trail," the city shared, reflecting on the recent escalation in the park's development. The improvements are not only limited to the trail extension but also include the construction of boardwalks, ponds, and a fishing pier.

The park's renovation, including a new multi-use path along Dinsmore Road, is expected to be mostly complete by next month. There's a note of caution, however, about delays that could extend the project beyond the anticipated deadline. "This project should be substantially complete by the end of next month," the city mentioned, keeping in mind that weather or other factors could alter this timeline.
