The Mint Hill Police Department recognized the promotion of Sergeant Micheal Pomarico in a recent social media post. Serving nearly a decade with the department, Pomarico, promoted to Sergeant in June, has contributed extensively as a K9 handler and instructor. The department's Facebook post stated, "Before the year gets away from us, we want to recognize Sergeant Micheal Pomarico, who was promoted to Sergeant in June."
With over 2,300 hours of training, Sergeant Pomarico holds an Advanced North Carolina Law Enforcement Certificate and serves as both a Specialized General Instructor and lead Firearms Instructor. He also works as a Field Training Officer, mentoring new recruits, and is known in the community for K9 demonstrations with Valor and educational programs through the Citizen’s Academy.
The department highlighted his contributions to the team and encouraged both colleagues and the community to acknowledge his service and accomplishments.
