The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 38-year-old Jeremiah Johnson, a fugitive linked to multiple Northern Arizona crimes. Johnson is 6’2”, 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, Fox10 Phoenix reported. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.

Jeremiah Johnson allegedly began his flight by stealing a dirt bike on December 5 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was then tracked to Beaver Dam, where he reportedly stole and crashed a white pickup truck on December 6. Authorities lost his trail near the Virgin River despite K9 and helicopter efforts. In the early hours of December 8, Johnson allegedly broke into a vehicle in Cane Beds, later found abandoned. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Anita Mortensen confirmed a full extradition warrant has been issued, as reported by St. George News.

On December 9, Johnson was spotted as a passenger in a vehicle heading to Fredonia. During a traffic stop attempt by law enforcement, including K9 units and Bureau of Indian Affairs officers, he fled and evaded capture near Kanab Creek off Highway 389.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office believes Johnson may still be near Fredonia, Cane Beds, or Colorado City and urges anyone with information to call (928) 753-0753. Residents are advised to stay alert and report any sightings.
