A blaze consumed a Monroe County home Tuesday morning, with the Dundee Township Fire Department as the first responders to a 911 call reporting visible flames from the windows of a residence on Dennison Road; multiple neighboring fire departments were summoned to the scene to combat the fire, which had fully engulfed the home upon arrival, according to CBS News Detroit.

During the effort to control the fire, there was a concern for one unaccounted resident, leading the Monroe County Sheriff's Office to make several phone calls throughout the morning until the individual was confirmed safe. Firefighters remained on the scene until 3 p.m. to ensure the fire was completely quelled. Agencies that provided aid included Ida Township Fire Department, Summerfield Township Volunteer Fire Department, Milan Area Fire Department, London-Maybee-Raisinville Fire Department, Ridgeway Fire Department, and Deerfield Fire Department.

The Dundee Volunteer Fire Department took to social media to express gratitude towards the assisting departments and local businesses, such as Salenbien Trucking and Excavating for providing an excavator, and Burger King Dundee for providing lunch for the first responders. "Andy and his team are always willing to provide equipment and supports our department in many ways," they shared.

The community's support was also highlighted, "Lastly, thank you to all of our communities for supporting the volunteers," the Dundee Volunteer Fire Department's post concluded, showcasing the collective effort brought forth by firefighters, local businesses, and the community in times of crisis despite the moment being fraught with uncertainty and danger for those experiencing the immediate threat of the consuming flames.
