
Montgomery County detectives are turning to the community in hope of shedding light on a recent shooting incident in Silver Spring. Authorities were called to the scene on Musicmaster Drive on December 17, where they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a press briefing from the Montgomery County Department of Police.
The victim was quickly transported to a hospital with serious injuries that, fortunately, were deemed non-life-threatening. The assailants, however, remain at large and unidentified, stirring concerns in a community unaccustomed to such brazen acts of violence. No suspects have yet been taken into custody as the investigation continues.
With the investigation actively ongoing, officials urge anyone who might have information regarding the suspect(s) or the crime to step forward. In an effort to encourage tips, the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
