The town of Mooresville, North Carolina, is continuing its Center Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project. According to a social media update from the Town of Mooresville, the replacement of the culvert on E. Center Avenue is nearly complete.
The Facebook post also noted that "additional work that must be done" has been identified, and safety concerns have prompted the continued closure of the road. The added scope of work has delayed the reopening of E. Center Avenue, now scheduled for late January 2026.
The Town of Mooresville stated it will "continue to provide updates as needed" on the progress of the project and the road’s reopening.
