A collision between a motorcycle and a U-Haul truck on Saturday at about 3:56 p.m. at South Las Vegas Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road left a 65-year-old man dead, marking Las Vegas’ 157th traffic fatality this year, according to the LVMPD. The motorcycle was making a left turn when it collided with the truck.
Evidence, witness statements, and video surveillance show that a 2015 KTM Super Duke motorcycle, ridden by a 65-year-old man, collided with a 2019 Ford F-650 U-Haul truck driven by Omar Diaz-Aguilar, 51. The motorcycle attempted a left turn, failed to maintain its lane, and struck the truck’s left side. The rider was thrown under the truck and suffered fatal injuries.
Las Vegas has recorded 157 traffic-related fatalities this year.
