
A tragic incident unfolded on Boulder Highway near Tropicana Avenue, where a motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with a truck. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the crash around 2:21 p.m. at the intersection with Whitney Avenue. The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old man riding a 1997 Suzuki TL 1000S, was northbound when he was struck by a 2003 Ford F-150. The truck, operated by a 79-year-old man, was making a turn from the storage lane, crossing into the path of the motorcycle, as reported by News 3 Las Vegas.
Attempts to save the motorcyclist were made as he was transported to Sunrise Hospital, but despite these efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, becoming the city's 155th traffic-related fatality in 2025, as per the FOX5 Vegas. Staying at the scene, the driver of the Ford showed no signs of impairment. Speeding when the truck made its turn in front of the rider, the police noted that the collision remains under active investigation by their Collision Investigation Section.
