
The Metropolitan Police Department has made an arrest following an assault in Northwest Washington, D.C. On November 15, at approximately 4:38 p.m., a man was struck with a handgun inside a building on the 1400 block of V Street. According to MPD, the suspect approached the victim, assaulted him with the weapon, and quickly fled the scene.
Law enforcement quickly apprehended the suspected assailant. On Monday, just over a month after the assault, 19-year-old Taivion Scott of Northwest D.C. was arrested under a D.C. Superior Court warrant. Scott now faces charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), as per MPD.
Authorities have not released detailed information regarding the motive for the assault or the condition of the victim. However, following his arrest, Taivion Scott now faces legal proceedings in connection with the Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) charge.
