
The Metropolitan Police Department is calling for public assistance in the wake of a robbery that took place on Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast D.C. The incident, which occurred on the Friday afternoon of October 25, saw a victim accosted and robbed by three individuals, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department's release, the crime transpired at about 4:20 p.m. on the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where, the unsuspecting victim was attacked. The assailants then proceeded to take his belongings before making their escape. The MPD has since updated their information with photos of the suspects in a bid to identify them and is offering a reward for information leading to their apprehension.
The official request is clear: "Anyone who can identify these suspects or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411." A financial incentive is in play, as Metropolitan Police Department is offering "a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia."
