
A multi-vehicle crash led to the closure of inbound lanes on Parkway North and sent six people, including two juveniles, to the hospital in Pittsburgh. According to WPXI, the collision was reported around 10:40 a.m., and the roadway was subsequently closed between the North-East Street exit and the Veterans Bridge exit. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has confirmed the incident and noted that the crash happened near the Interstate 579 Veterans Bridge ramp.
According to WTAE, State Police revealed that four adults and two children were among those transported to local hospitals for treatment, although the details of their conditions have not yet been made available. PennDOT managed to clear the accident and reopen I-279 southbound by around 11:45 a.m., about an hour after the crash occurred.
