Yesterday afternoon's shooting on a southeast Dallas street left a man dead and added another grim entry to Murdeaux Lane's history of violence, police said.
Officers were called about 4:15 p.m. to the 100 block of South Murdeaux Lane, where they found a man with a gunshot wound in the roadway. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported him to a hospital, where he later died. As of last night, no arrests had been announced.
Police Say Victim Was Found Shot At The Scene
According to The Dallas Morning News, Dallas police said in a statement that officers responded to reports of a shooting on South Murdeaux Lane and located the wounded man at the scene. The department noted that he was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. No further information was immediately available, the paper reported.
Murdeaux Lane Has Been The Site Of Past Violence
The 100 block of South Murdeaux Lane has shown up in police reports before, including a fatal shooting in May 2024, according to posts on the Dallas Police Department's blog.
