Operation Santa has returned to Nevada County. Coordinated by the Nevada County Adult Services department, the program delivered personalized gifts, meals, and firewood to approximately 100 older and disabled residents this holiday season.
According to Nevada County, each gift was selected based on participants’ requests to ensure the items were useful and meaningful. The program’s distribution efforts provided support to older and disabled residents during the holiday season, addressing challenges such as isolation that can affect these community members.
Operation Santa was supported by local organizations including Hospitality House, Bethel Church of Nevada County, Grass Valley Church of Christ, United Methodist Church, and Sierra Ministries International. Working together with the Adult Services Administrative Staff, these partners helped deliver gifts and support to residents during the holiday season.
