Relatives and friends gathered to remember 15-year-old Jasiri Weusi, who was killed in a recent North Las Vegas shooting. Weusi and 20-year-old Demar Cole were fatally shot, and another person was hospitalized early on Sunday morning. The suspect in the shooting has not yet been arrested, according to FOX5 Vegas.

At Palm Mortuary downtown, friends and acquaintances gathered to remember Weusi. Keon, who met Weusi in junior high, said, "He was like my blood brother, so like I really cared about him a lot." Another friend said, "It do hurt bad, because he wasn't the type to cause trouble. He wasn't the type to mess with nobody." The friend also added, "Stop the violence, you know. Just try to come together, and try to just bring peace into the world. Let’s all just live to see 30, to see 40," as reported by 8 News Now.

Jasiri Weusi was fatally shot in North Las Vegas. His mother, Cenoria Downing, said, “He was very smart, very intelligent. He had a lot going for himself,” and added, “No way did my baby deserve it,” as per FOX5 Vegas. Neighbors described their reaction, saying, “The trauma of what we have witnessed and the fact that we can't trust our neighborhood any longer enough to let our children play is heartbreaking,” as stated by 8 News Now. The family is arranging to bring Jasiri’s body back to California for burial, with a GoFundMe set up to help with expenses. The suspect is still at large.
