On Friday afternoon, all northbound lanes of the East Sam Houston Parkway near Wallisville Road were closed after a truck lost its load. The Harris County Sheriff's Office told CW39 that the truck was traveling north on Beltway 8 when the incident happened.
Heavy-duty wreckers were sent to the scene to remove the dislodged cargo and reopen the highway. Drivers were advised to expect delays or use alternate routes, as per Click2Houston.
By 4:10 p.m., first responders and cleanup crews had cleared the accident, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the northbound lanes were reopened. Drivers were advised to check the CW39 traffic map for updates or alternative routes. The accident was caused by an unsecured load from a truck.
