The disagreement began with a verbal exchange between the suspect and a 38-year-old man. The situation quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, during which the suspect brandished a sharp object. The victim sustained a head injury from being slashed. After the attack, the suspect fled the train station on foot and remains at large.
The NYPD's 17th Precinct/Transit District 4, which covers the area where the incident occurred, is handling the investigation.
