Sacramentans can attend the family-friendly "Countdown on the Cobblestones" at the Old Sacramento Waterfront on December 31, from 5-10 p.m. The event will feature live music from Rituals of Mine, DJ Epik, and Element Brass Band, along with activities and a fireworks show at 9 p.m., according to the City of Sacramento.

"This event is all about creating a memorable New Years’ experience that feels special to Old Sacramento, with fireworks and light bringing the historic waterfront to life in a way people can enjoy together earlier in the evening," said Chelsea Evans, district manager for the Old Sacramento Waterfront. The evening promises a festive experience for families, with a fireworks and light show over the district’s historic buildings, as reported by the City of Sacramento.

The City of Sacramento will hold the New Year’s Eve countdown and fireworks at 9 p.m. The district will be closed to vehicles from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., affecting Second, Front, K, J, I streets, and Firehouse Alley, while L Street and Neasham Circle will remain open for limited access. Prepaid parking is available at the Old Sacramento Garage and Tower Bridge Garage for $20 starting at 3 p.m. A free six-passenger Tuk Tuk shuttle will operate at designated locations on a first-come, first-served basis. More information is available on the Sacramento City Express website.
