The annual Old Town Holiday Stroll is all set to spread some holiday cheer in historic Old Town Lewisville this weekend. The festivities, stretching over Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, promise a family-oriented mix of music, decorations, and merriment, according to a recent announcement on the City of Lewisville's website.
Starting today at 5 p.m., visitors can indulge in the Children’s Entrepreneur Market and First Friday vendors, providing a platform for the town's youngest moguls to showcase their business acumen along with hayrides that journey through Old Town, as per the city's schedule. The event will crescendo with "Lewisville Lights," the much-anticipated Old Town lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Following the glimmering display, families can unwind with "Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas," a holiday film screening in Wayne Ferguson Plaza.
Day two kicks off at 9 a.m. with Breakfast with Santa and Winter Carnival games, as described on the announcement page. Later that day, at 1 p.m., Main Street will be lined with onlookers for the Huffines Auto Dealerships Lewisville Christmas Parade, after the Lewisville Morning Rotary's hot dogs and chips at 11 a.m. and the roaring engines of the Motorcycle Toy Run at the same time.
Events are sponsored by a cohort of local organizations and businesses, including the City of Lewisville, the Old Town Business Association, and Huffines Auto Dealerships, among others. The entire event is open to the public, with no cost for admission, inviting everyone to embrace the festive spirit and community camaraderie.
