A pre-dawn outbreak of violence in Cleveland has left one man dead and three others wounded following an incident near East 93rd Street, according to police reports. Cleveland officers found a 24-year-old man unresponsive at the entrance of a building on 3547 East 93rd St. around 3 a.m. yesterday. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Cleveland EMS personnel, WKYC reported.
Three other victims, all adult males, separately sought treatment at area hospitals for gunshot wounds sustained in the incident. These injuries are expected to be non-life-threatening. Police have not yet identified any suspects in connection with this shooting. "The investigation is ongoing," a Cleveland Division of Police press release stated, as Fox 8 detailed.
The early morning crime scene was within close proximity to local nightlife spots, including VSP Lounge Inc. and Skeets Bar. This detail suggests the area was possibly bustling with patrons at the time of the shooting. Despite the potential for numerous witnesses, details surrounding the events leading up to the shooting remain scarce. The Cleveland Police Homicide Unit is taking the lead on this case, collecting evidence and piecing together what transpired, as per information obtained by Cleveland 19.
