
A tragic event unfolded in Orange County on Christmas Day when a 13-year-old girl, identified as Emony Nicole Jackson, was shot and later died from her injuries. The incident, which took place at a home on the 2200 block of Okada Court, has led to the arrest of a 15-year-old suspect, reported to be an accidental shooting by the teen himself.
According to a ClickOrlando report, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 4:45 p.m., where they found Jackson with a gunshot wound. She was promptly transported to the hospital; however, despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. The teenager alleged to be responsible for the shooting, approached deputies, claiming that the fatal shot was unintentional. He has been charged with manslaughter; no additional details have been disclosed regarding the circumstances leading up to this devastating incident.
