
Commuters on the I-10 in the Far West Valley were met with delays on Friday following an incident where a truck carrying bricks overturned, spilling its load onto the highway. Reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, the accident occurred near Miller Road and involved a single vehicle.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, "The trailer was loaded with multiple pallets of bricks that spread onto the roadway and are still under the overturned trailer," as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. The cleanup process was expected to be lengthy, with traffic initially restricted to one lane in the crash area. A DPS spokesperson indicated that injuries were minor in nature.
The disruption extended for several hours, prompting authorities to advise motorists to seek alternative routes. As per 12News, the scene was eventually cleared around 11:30 a.m., allowing traffic to return to normal flow.
