A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck in a hit-and-run in Las Vegas on December 11, around 11:17 PM. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that a westbound white 2009 Ford Fusion hit the 30-year-old man as he crossed East Katie Avenue near South Maryland Parkway outside a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Sunrise Hospital. The driver fled the scene, continuing west on Katie Avenue in violation of the law. Investigators located the Ford Fusion, but the driver remains at large. The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is seeking any information to identify and apprehend the suspect.
