
On Tuesday in Penn Valley, reports of gunfire on Carrie Ann Lane led to a response from the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Grass Valley Police, and California Highway Patrol. Morris Turrentine Jr., 38, was arrested for obstructing justice and making felony threats, and an adult female was cited for narcotics and released, as reported by the Nevada County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators found several gun parts, ammunition, and one unregistered firearm at the residence, though no injuries or property damage occurred. The Nevada County Sheriff's Office confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Residents are asked to review their video surveillance for any activity related to the gunfire incident and report findings to authorities. According to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, "Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is urged to call NCSO at (530) 265-7880." Three people were detained and a fourth arrested, and no injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
