Philadelphia police are calling on the community to aid in identifying a man captured on video during an alleged break-in at a local Christmas Village shop. The footage, released to the public, shows an unidentified individual who reportedly forced his way into the premises early on the morning of December 12.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the burglary occurred at approximately 7:25 AM, when a black male, described as being in his 30s with a beard and mustache, was seen forcing open a side door of the shop. The suspect, wearing a knit hat and a plaid jacket, is then observed rummaging inside before exiting, seemingly empty-handed.
The Philadelphia Police YouTube Channel features the silent video surveillance footage that gives a glimpse into the break-in, allowing potential witnesses to come forth with any helpful information. Authorities stress that if the individual is seen in public, bystanders should not approach him but should instead contact 911 immediately.
