Calling all animal lovers and pet enthusiasts to Polk County Sheriff's Office Animal Control's Pet Fest 2025, set for Saturday, December 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at 7115 De Castro Road in Winter Haven, featuring the promise of new beginnings with free pet adoptions and more.

During Pet Fest 2025, which is touted as not your average adoption event, attendees will have the opportunity to welcome a new family member into their homes with over 100 dogs and cats ready for adoption, and what's more, the adoptions include spay/neuter procedures, vital rabies vaccinations, microchip IDs and a county license, all free of charge.

For those who already share their lives with furry companions, the first 100 visitors can avail of a complimentary microchip service, a critical tool for pet safety and identification; this is offered on a first-come, first-served basis so early attendance is incentivized to ensure a spot.

With Pet Fest's dedication to facilitating the joy of pet ownership, they're also providing leashes and cat carriers at no cost to ease the transition for these animals into their new homes; each adored pet adopted on this special day will also be commemorated with a free holiday ornament designed to celebrate their addition to the family.

Aside from pet adoption, the festival will be buzzing with about 30 vendors offering delectable food, pet services, and an array of pet items to satisfy all the needs and whims of your pets; additionally, for a dose of holiday cheer, Santa Claus himself will be ready to pose for memorable photos with or without pets.
