
A Porter, Texas, man has been charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl on Thursday. According to KHOU, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, 23, faces charges of aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child.
Authorities stated that the teen was walking her dog when she failed to return home. Using parental tracking tools, her father located her phone in a remote wooded area in Harris County. Click2Houston reported that he discovered a maroon pickup truck containing the victim and her dog, along with a “partially nude” Espinoza inside. The father helped his daughter escape and then notified authorities.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported that Espinoza allegedly used a knife to abduct the victim from the street. Witnesses confirmed the description of the suspect’s vehicle. Espinoza is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Jail.
Sheriff Wesley Doolittle commented on the case in a social media post reported by KHOU, stating that the suspect disrupted the holiday by targeting a child. He commended deputies and detectives for their swift actions in apprehending the suspect and removing him from the community.
