Authorities in Puyallup are asking for the public's help in tracking down a woman suspected of identity theft and check fraud. The Puyallup Police Department took to their social media to share images of the suspected "Grinch," who on October 14 attempted to cash a fraudulent check at a Bank of America in Tacoma.
What makes this case stand out is the distinctive star-shaped tattoo on the suspect's left hand or wrist. They're now reaching out broadly, hoping that someone might recognize the tattoo or the suspect herself. To further assist in this quest, the department has made efforts to quickly share the suspect's image, understanding the urgent necessity to do so before she possibly strikes again.
For those who might have information, Puyallup Police have provided a TipLine number, 253-770-3343, and an email address, [email protected], as avenues to confidentially report any leads. "If you recognize her or have information that could help, please contact our TipLine," read a statement from the department. Additionally, they're encouraging people to share the post, saying public involvement is key to solving the case and potentially deterring others from committing similar fraud.
