The City of Raleigh’s Active Adult Program has announced a series of travel opportunities for 2026 for adults aged 50 and older. According to the city's announcement, the trips range from one-day excursions to multi-day experiences, offering a variety of options for participants.
The program is offering Social Outdoor Active Recreation trips in partnership with the Outdoor Recreation Program, as well as Read and Go excursions that combine literature with in-person exploration of related locations. These trips are open to all adults, not just Raleigh residents.
Each trip includes one or two experienced Trip Escorts to guide participants and provide support as needed. As per the City of Raleigh, while they do not offer one-on-one personal assistance, the escorts help ensure that trips run smoothly and are enjoyable for all participants.
Adults interested in participating can sign up for the Yearly Trip Registration to receive updates and announcements. Detailed information on day trips and multi-day excursions is available on the Active Adult Trip page.
