Raleigh Parks is inviting residents to provide input on the future of Neuse River Park at a Public Open House. According to the City of Raleigh, the event is scheduled for Dec. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Abbotts Creek Community Center and will focus on the park’s schematic design. Attendees will have the opportunity to review proposed layouts for trails, play areas, and natural spaces and offer feedback on the park’s development plans.
Raleigh Parks stated in an official announcement that the schematic design “translates the community’s ideas from the master plan into a more detailed layout for the park.” The family-friendly meeting on Durant Road will offer light refreshments and include an art-making station for visitors of all ages. Staff and consultants will be available to answer questions, while visuals and resources will be provided to help guide feedback and discussions on the park’s design.
For residents unable to attend the meeting in person, Raleigh Parks will offer an online survey from Dec. 16 through Dec. 29. The survey provides an additional opportunity for the public to share feedback on the park’s design.
