
Raleigh’s Barwell Road Community Center is offering a one-day babysitting training session for youth ages 11 to 14. According to the City of Raleigh, the program includes activities and real-world scenarios designed to teach participants the skills needed to provide safe and responsible child care.
The program aims to teach responsibility and essential skills for young babysitters. Certified instructors will guide participants through hands-on activities and group discussions, covering topics such as basic child care and emergency response. The session is scheduled for February 16, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration costs $50 for residents and $65 for non-residents.
Registration for the program is available online through RecLink. Interested participants can sign up by providing their information and securing a spot for the training session.
