In Rancho Cordova, a call for a burglary alarm has led to the arrest of two men on multiple felony charges. The incident, reported by the Rancho Cordova Police Department Facebook page, occurred recently at a local business. The report stated that two white males were alleged to have unlawfully entered the fenced parking yard of a business after hours. Despite the suspected perpetrators' swift departure before the arrival of the authorities, they were not successful in evading law enforcement for long.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers noted evidence of forced entry into several work trucks and confirmed with the business owner that multiple power tools and other equipment had been taken. During a subsequent search of a nearby residential neighborhood, the Rancho Cordova Police Department states that Officer Tsverov noticed a suspicious vehicle. An enforcement stop was conducted on the vehicle, and it's occupants, leading to the detention of two white male adults matching the initial suspect descriptions.
Notably, one of the detained individuals was reported to have been on active probation for post-release community supervision (PRCS) and carried an extensive arrest history related to theft. During the vehicle search, officers recovered multiple stolen items, which the business owner later identified as their property. These items included heavy metal pipes and various tools, which were subsequently returned to the owner, as per the Rancho Cordova Police Department.
As detailed in the social media post, the Rancho Cordova Police Department confirmed that "Officers reviewed the business’s CCTV video and observed both subjects burglarizing the business." Following this discovery, the two men were arrested, then transported to the Main Jail, where they were booked on various felony charges. This swift resolution to an unfortunately common crime underscores the diligence and persistence of the responding officers in the face of yet another, burglary attempt within their jurisdiction.
