
The City of Reno will hold a Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Reno City Plaza. The event is organized with the Chabad of Northern Nevada. According to the City of Reno, the ceremony represents hope and resilience.
Reno Councilmember Naomi Duerr shared, "We’re excited to celebrate the start of Hanukkah with this meaningful tradition, which highlights a story of hope and resilience." The community is invited to join an evening of Menorah lighting, blessings, candle distribution, and a lively Horah dance under the starlit sky, as stated by the City of Reno.
The event is free and open to families and children of all ages, with traditional food and festivities following the ceremony. Free parking is available at the Reno City Hall garage on University Way and East First Street, as reported by the City of Reno.
