Two Rice University students were robbed at gunpoint around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday in West Lot 2 near Stadium Road. The suspects have not been located, according to Click2Houston.
Three male suspects in their 20s with slim, athletic builds remain at large after a robbery near Rice University, with one wearing a gray beanie, green top, and gray pajama pants. They were last seen running toward Rice Boulevard and Entrance 17 as RUPD reviews area video footage.
The students were uninjured, and campus police have increased patrols while urging heightened awareness following this incident and a previous violent robbery. “RUPD advises the community to be alert, especially at night and to avoid walking alone in isolated areas and to always report suspicious activity to RUPD,” they stated, as per KHOU.
