Rockwall County residents, take note of the holiday season adjustments to local government office hours. According to a recent announcement, the Rockwall County website will be closing early on Tuesday, at 3:00 p.m., and will not open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Regular operations are set to resume on Friday, December 26.
The closure affects not only the Clerk's Office but also extends to the Rockwall County Tax Office (Vehicle Registration), which will also be shutting its doors for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. The Tax Office is currently stationed at 1101 E. Yellow Jacket Lane, Suite 110 in Rockwall. The Rockwall County Library and Elections Office will be following a similar holiday schedule, closing on December 24 and 25 for Christmas, while the entirety of the county government offices are slated to remain closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
For those looking ahead to the turn of the year, the County Clerk's Office will also close early at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31. They will be closed on New Year's Day, January 1, 2026, with services resuming normally on Friday, January 2, 2026.
