
A driver died in a single-vehicle crash on Christmas Eve along Interstate 80 near Greenback Lane in Sacramento County. The vehicle struck a tree and caught fire, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews responded to eastbound lanes near Elkhorn Boulevard in the Foothills Farms area, where a van had gone off the road and struck a tree, causing a fire, as per CBS News Sacramento.
