Rain is expected to begin after 1 p.m. today, with a high near 56 degrees. Winds will be from the south-southeast at 6 to 9 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. The NWS forecasts an 80% chance of precipitation, with less than a tenth of an inch of new rainfall possible. Tonight, showers may continue, mainly after 3 a.m., with lows around 54 degrees and south-southeast winds persisting.
Showers are expected throughout the day on Saturday, with an 80% chance of rain. Rain is also forecast to continue into Saturday night, when the chance of precipitation increases to 100%. New rainfall amounts are projected to range from a quarter to a half inch during the day, with totals increasing to between a half and three-quarters of an inch overnight.
The NWS forecasts showers on Sunday, with a high near 58 degrees. Winds are likely to increase to around 11 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph. From Sunday night through Tuesday, additional showers and cloudy conditions are forecast, with high temperatures gradually decreasing into the mid-50s. Showers are also expected to continue into Wednesday and Christmas Day, along with mostly cloudy skies.
