The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office reported substantial results from the latest crackdown on retail theft, announcing outcomes from its third day of enforcement, which resulted in 17 arrests, including four felony arrests. In a social media post on their official Facebook page, the Sheriff's Office detailed that the Organized Retail Crime Task Force had targeted several stores at Town and Country Village, including Sprouts, Five Below, TJ Maxx, Ross, and the Target on Fulton during this round of enforcement efforts, and though time was short the officers were still able to apprehend several individuals.
Among those arrested on day three of this operation were a range of suspects from 19 to 52 years old, including Ailene Faravelli, Dante Walls, Sonai Murphy, Jennifer Miller, Brittney Denrow, Tabojia Washington, and Areanna Parker, who were noted for their Proposition 36-qualified felony arrests; this indicates a higher degree of the alleged crime and potential for stricter legal consequences. Phoenix Eaton, Kimberly Heers-Sailsbery, Cody Shaw-Montgomery, Latour Bartholomew, Anthony Bawolski, whose charge also fell under Proposition 36, Patricia Jackson, Donna Spitzer, and Jesse Haney, who was arrested for a Proposition 36-qualified felony, have all added to the tally of the Sheriff's Office's recent initiative.
The announcement from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office closed with a sobering reminder for potential perpetrators: "enforcement remains active throughout unincorporated Sacramento County; but the music may be less festive."
