
Orlando Guidry was arrested on Tuesday, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl at his residence in July, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office reported on social media. The case has prompted concern within the local community.
According to a social media post, the incident occurred during a sleepover. The victim, a friend of the suspect's girlfriend's daughter, alleged that she woke up to Guidry engaging in nonconsensual sexual contact and kissing. The report states the assault escalated to include further sexual acts. Afterward, the victim informed her friend, and the two alerted the friend’s mother, who contacted law enforcement to initiate an investigation.
The suspect initially ran from the scene but later spoke with the victim’s family, reportedly admitting to the actions and blaming alcohol. Authorities focused on the victim’s care, arranging a medical exam at the BEAR Center and a forensic interview at the SAFE Center.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Bureau led the investigation and secured an arrest warrant for Guidry on three counts of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14. He was located and arrested by the Major Crimes Bureau and is being held at Sacramento County Main Jail with bail set at $500,000.
