Sean Payton, 25, of Sacramento, has been charged with homicide after a man he allegedly attacked on November 1 on the 2000 block of K Street died from his injuries. Payton was arrested near the scene and has been in custody since the incident. Homicide detectives are now investigating, and the victim’s identity will be released after next-of-kin notification, according to the Sacramento Police Department on their Facebook page.
