Wind will simplify to a gentle 5 to 7 mph, swinging from west to south southeast into the evening. The downpour is set to continue through Saturday, mainly before 11 am, with a lull expected by nightfall. However, a 60% chance of rain recommences mainly after 11 pm Saturday. Sunday will not offer a reprieve, as rain is again probable throughout the day with an 80% likelihood.
Salt Lake City residents may expect warmer daytime highs nearing 56°F on both Sunday and Monday, though the likelihood of rain drops slightly to 50% on Sunday night and 40% on Monday morning. The coming days look to be mild yet moist, with daytime temperatures hovering around the mid-50s and lows in the mid-40s. Cloud cover will persist, providing a mostly cloudy backdrop to the dull patter of raindrops, forecasted once again likely by Wednesday.

As holiday plans take shape, the continued forecast of rain suggests residents and visitors alike should prepare for indoor celebrations, or at least carry umbrellas for any festive outdoor activities.
